Key Features of the Maryam Nawaz Taxi Scheme

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Maryam Nawaz Taxi Scheme, applicants must:

• Be a Punjab resident (CNIC proof required).
• Age between 21-45 years.
• Have a valid driver’s license (LTV or HTV).
• No criminal record (police verification required).
• Monthly income below PKR 50,000 (for subsidized loans).

Priority given to:

• Unemployed youth
• Transgender applicants
• Families of martyrs & disabled persons

Taxi Models & Financing Breakdown

For the 2026 session, the government is moving away from the old Corolla/Civic models to eco-friendly options. The primary models include the Honri VC20 and VC30 (Electric).

• Interest-Free Loan: You pay 0% markup; the Punjab Government pays the interest to the bank for you.
• Down Payment: Approximately PKR 200,000 to 250,000.
• Monthly Installment: Between PKR 10,000 to 18,000 for 5 years.
• Government Gift: In 2026, the government also covers your Registration Fee and Token Tax.
