Headquarters Pakistan Rangers (Punjab), located on Ghazi Road, Lahore, has officially announced a new recruitment drive for 2025. This is a significant opportunity for eligible Pakistani citizens to join one of the nation’s premier paramilitary forces. The recruitment is being conducted under the Pakistan Rangers Recruitment Rules 1968 and will be based purely on merit, adhering to a defined provincial quota system.

Educational Qualification

  • For Naik General Duty (Male): Minimum Matriculation (Secondary School Certificate) pass. Candidates with higher education, a BS degree, or diplomas in nursing, radio technology, vehicle mechanics, and vehicle electricity will be given preference.
  • For Lady Rangers (Soldier General Duty): Minimum Middle pass. Candidates with higher education, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or a midwifery diploma will be given preference.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 to 30 years of age. Those below 18 or above 30 will not be considered.

Physical Standards

  • For Naik General Duty (Male):
    • Height: Minimum 5 Feet 6 Inches (Taller candidates will be preferred in final selection).
    • Chest: 33 inches with a minimum expansion of 1.5 inches.
    • Weight: Minimum 121 Pounds (as per medical standards).
  • For Lady Rangers (Soldier General Duty):
    • Height: Minimum 5 Feet 4 Inches.
    • Weight: Minimum 121 Pounds (as per medical standards).

Citizenship

  • Must be a Pakistani citizen.
  • Naik GD is open to male candidates.
  • Lady Rangers is open to female candidates.

How to Apply for Punjab Ranger Jobs?

The application process differs for the two posts:

For Naik General Duty (Male):

  1. Online Registration: Candidates must register online through the official website of Pakistan Rangers Punjab:

  3. Next Steps: Shortlisted candidates will be called for further tests.

For Lady Rangers (Soldier General Duty):

  1. In-Person Registration: Female candidates must appear in person at the Pakistan Rangers Academy, Mandi Bahauddin.
  2. Registration Period: From 7th October to 10th October 2025.
  3. What to Bring: Candidates must bring their original documents along with two photocopies of each, two self-addressed envelopes with phone numbers, and four attested passport-size color photographs. Wear PT shoes for the physical test.

Required Documents

All candidates must present the following original documents with two attested photocopies each:

  • All original educational certificates/degrees. (If educated up to 8th class, the school leaving certificate must be verified by the District Education Officer).
  • Original CNIC issued by NADRA.
  • Original Domicile/PRC.
  • Four (4) attested passport-size color photographs.
  • For Government Employees: A mandatory No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Head of Department must be submitted at the time of registration. No candidate will be admitted without an NOC.

Selection Process & Procedure

The selection of candidates will be a multi-stage process:

  1. Physical Test: Candidates must pass the initial physical standards test.
  2. Written Examination: Candidates must bring their own stationery for the written exam.
  3. Psychological Test / Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will undergo this stage.
  4. Final Selection: Based on merit, finalized at Rangers Headquarters, Lahore.
  5. Detailed Medical Examination: This will be conducted at the Pakistan Rangers Academy Hospital, Mandi Bahauddin. It includes a Chest X-ray, Blood tests (ALT, Creatinine, ESR, CBC, Hepatitis B & C, HIV, Sugar, LDH, HB Electrophoresis), Urine test, ECG, Abdominal Ultrasound, and a thorough medical and psychological check-up.

Training, Salary, and Allowances

  • Training: Successful candidates for Naik GD will undergo basic training at the Pakistan Rangers Academy, Mandi Bahauddin. Selected Lady Rangers will receive basic training at the Sector Headquarters Desert Rangers, Bahawalpur.
  • Salary: Selected candidates will be offered a competitive government salary along with allowances as per standard rules.
    • Naik General Duty: BPS-07
    • Lady Rangers: BPS-05
  • Allowances: As per prevailing government rules. Free accommodation is provided, and married personnel are eligible for a House Rent Allowance (HRA) of 30% or 45% of the basic pay scale.

Important Instructions and Warnings

  • No TA/DA will be provided during the recruitment process.
  • The Director General of Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) holds the final authority for selection. Do not contact any Rangers official or civilian for recommendations.
  • Any form of recommendation or interference will not be tolerated.
  • Recruitment is provisional until the verification of all documents and final approval by the competent authority.
