Eligibility Criteria for Teacher Jobs
The Punjab government has recently tightened the rules for B.Ed requirements. Here is what you need:
- Primary Teacher (PST/ESE): Minimum 14 years of education (B.A/B.Sc) with at least 45% marks. Professional degree (B.Ed) is now mandatory for permanent induction.
- Elementary Teacher (EST/SESE): 16 years of education in the relevant subject (English, Math, Science, Arabic, etc.).
- Secondary Teacher (SST/SSE): Masterβs degree or BS (4 years) in the specific subject plus B.Ed.
- Age Limit: Generally 20β30 years. However, don’t worry if you are older; males usually get 5 years and females get 8 years of general age relaxation.
- Domicile: You must have a Punjab Domicile to apply for these provincial posts
